Unlike many schools today, students at Lewis' TaeKwonDo do spar on a daily basis. He often asks parents this question, "Would you keep taking your child to the same swimming instructor if he/she came home in a dry suit every day?"
TaeKwonDo is an ancient Korean art of self-defense, which emphasizes powerful kicking combinations. It is rooted in a spiritual philosophy of which meditation and self-discipline are cornerstones. Master Lewis is a purist and serious practitioner of TaeKwonDo.

For 30 years, Master Lewis, 4th Dan Black Belt, has had the pleasure of teaching kids from 5 to 70 in both group and private lessons.
A Dallas native, Master Johnny Lewis began his martial arts career almost 35 years ago. He is experienced in several martial arts disciplines including TaeKwonDo, Kempo Karate and Boxing. Mr. Lewis has taught both Aikido and Jujitsu at Richland College.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.B.A. in Banking and Finance, Mr. Lewis' interests include reading, music and sports.
Mr. Lewis' achievements include 1991 USA Texas State Champion and National Quarter Finalist, Top 8, 1991.
